If you have a series of contiguous thumbnails that you wish to select or deselect, you can follow the same steps you would in the Library module in Photoshop Lightroom or Adobe Bridge’s Content panel. Click the first thumbnail in the series, press and hold Shift, and then click the last thumbnail in the series, then select or deselect any of the thumbnails to enable or dim them all. You can reselect the entire series using the same technique.
