Where can I get Photoshop for free?
I get this question a lot, so I thought might be helpful to address it.
In the past some companies used to add software like Photoshop to computers they sold, to entice you to buy their computer, but nowadays they have cut things like these to try to sell the computer for as cheap as they can
Photoshop is a paid program, so you can’t get it free. You can get Photoshop Elements (the consumer version of Photoshop) for under $100.
Downloading an illegal copy of it can put your computer and identity at risk. When you run a program that you downloaded from an unknown source (like bit torrent, for example) it can be a Phishing program (gathering information about you, like where you bank, your accout number, your credit card number and even your social security number) or it could be a Trojan, causing you numerous hours trying to “recover” your computer.
A lot of people say GIMP is just as good, but it is probably because they never used Photoshop to its full extent, the interface is confusing and the program doesn’t have as many options as Photoshop does.
Don’t forget that if you are a student/educator, you qualify for an educational discount, making it even more affordable! So save your tax refund and make an investment on you.
